Stories to Inspire and Ignite Hope

About Me

Maria McShane grew up in a small Massachusetts town where her family lived in a historic colonial home across from an old cemetery. As much as it scared her, it fired her creativity and sparked her imagination.

An avid reader since childhood, Maria found inspiration in classics like To Kill a Mockingbird. From it, she learned about the lasting impression of a book. She grew up writing and filled countless notebooks with short stories, poetry, and even a novel, exploring varied themes.

Life eventually took Maria to the West Coast, where her dreams of writing full-time were put on hold. After retiring, she rekindled her passion for writing and completed her debut novel, The Reluctant Angel. It deals with grief, forgiveness, and letting go.

Her second book, Don’t Take the Easy Road, is a collection of short stories featuring characters at life-changing crossroads. The themes range from light-hearted to sinister.

Maria lives with her husband in southern Arizona, where they enjoy RV travel and exploring new places. Her next release, an inspirational story, is scheduled for this spring.
